“I highly recommend Di’s coaching”

Mark Migallo, Sun Microsystems

Are you facing personal or business changes in the current climate of change and uncertainty, but you’re also concerned how those changes will turn out?

Maybe you’ve tried to improve yourself and your knowledge through self help books, magazines, newspapers or seminars, yet the current environment still make you feel uneasy about the future.

There’s a reason for that. While books are great for new information (I’ve read over 300 this last year alone ), magazines and newsletters keep you up to date, and seminars are fantastic for information and networking, without the last piece of the puzzle, you’ve got an uphill battle on your hands. The last and most powerful way to fast track the results you want is through a strong mentor or coach who is specialized in the type of uncertainty we find ourselves in right now.

You wouldn’t try to achieve an Olympic medal through books and seminars alone, would you? No -you’d hire a master coach. A coach who can get inside your head, help you see the blind spots you can’t, instruct you in what to do, observe how you do it, give you feedback and hold you accountable. Success in business works exactly the same way- especially now, when the capacity of a business leader like you to rapidly respond to a continually changing environment can make or break your career. A strong personal Executive Coach who intimately understands the pressures of the changing business landscape is the fast track to your success.

Are you a potential candidate for executive coaching in a climate of change?

Read on and see if any of these people sound like you…

I am faced with making business changes in the current climate of uncertainty, but I’m also concerned about how those changes will play out for my business in the near future and beyond

I’m feeling a little uneasy about my job security under these economic conditions and what it could mean to me and my family if I found myself suddenly unemployed

I’ve just been made redundant and feel uncertain about my future

I just know I’ve got a lot more potential, but I don’t seem to have the support, the tools or the resources to go for what I really want

I’ve read self help books, magazines and attended seminars, but I haven’t had the opportunity or motivation to really implement what I’ve heard.

I’m a really busy person; I work hard and put in a LOT of hours. After all that’s what’s expected to get ahead. But it’s like the work is never done and I find it hard to focus things other than work when I go home.

I seem to attract constant distractions and interruptions like a magnet. I like helping other people, but it sometimes means my priorities are pushed to the bottom of the list

I feel guilty if I don’t put in the hours that other people expect

For some reason I find it hard to stand up to one particular person who always gives me this report late. What makes it worse is that they work for me and I’m sure other people notice that I appear to be “favouring them”

I’m really committed to this organisation, but I can feel very uncomfortable when senior management asks me to get other people on board with changes I don’t necessarily agree with

I make myself very clear – so why don’t people do what I ask of them?

I can’t get out of the habit of putting off important things right to the last minute and then I get stressed out trying to get it all done on time.

I have a lot of employee turnover

I seem to get stuck in meetings that go on and on – and always way over time when I’ve got better things to do

I promise myself each year that “this is the year” I’ll be going after what I really want …and then I get distracted with the business of life and work and it doesn’t happen … again.

What are these habits costing the bottom line for you or your organisation?

Here are some of the real stories:

Are you light on accountability and throwing $$$$ out the door?

A business leader fails to hold one member of his senior team to account for the delivery of critical milestones which causes $1000s in financial losses to the bottom line through failure to deliver on time and discontent amongst other team members because of perceived favouritism. Through our executive coaching, the business leader discovers how he had placed the senior manager on an unwarranted pedestal due to this person’s specialized experience. The business leader addresses his subconscious “favouritism”, pulls in the reigns of on-time delivery and plugs the value leakage.

What is the cost of your being too “nice” and avoiding the hard conversations?

In my early days as a senior executive, I had the opportunity to critique an important new policy document. I didn’t review the document thoroughly as wanted to avoid entering into any conflict with a senior colleague on my first days in a new job. A simple conversation with my colleague could have avoided an industrial dispute costing in the order of $70,000.00 which was created by issuing the poor policy document without employee consultation to the workforce. Executive coaching helped me to uncover the cost of being too “nice”, and plugged the value leakage from this ineffective habit.

What are poor working habits costing you?

Tim Ferris, author of The 4 hour Work Week finds himself working 12-15 hour days following up customers and desperately unhappy. In desperation, he takes some time out and applies the 80/20 rule or Pareto principle of productivity. This principle suggests that 20% of the work generates 80% of the return. He finds that only 3% of his customers generate 95% of the revenue. Unproductive habits were costing over 90% of his time! Tim automates the “unproductive” customer follow up and replicates the productive 3%. Revenue increases 300% and his hours reduce from 15 a day to 15 a week. Our Executive coaching helps uncover unproductive business habits which can have a profound impact on personal freedom, happiness and fulfillment as well as plugging the value leakage.

Are you driving employees away and blowing out your costs of recruitment?

In 2007, Right Recruitment Consultants completed a survey in which businesses report that the cost of finding, hiring and training new employees can cost you up to five times of their salary. For a $45,000 employee, this could mean between as much as $225,000! Our executive coaching helps you uncover your leadership habits and how they are impacting your business culture. Are you employees engaged or disengaged? Discover how you and your business can attract more and retain more of the skills you want, stop driving people away and plug the value leakage.

But this coaching program isn’t for everyone.

Ask yourself the following questions, to see if you are ready to maximise the potential of this executive coaching program.

Do I consider myself coachable?

Am I open to receiving feedback?

Am I prepared to consider new ideas?

Am I motivated enough to take the responsibility of completing the tasks assigned in between coaching sessions?

Am I prepared to commit a specific amount of time and money to producing a better outcome?

Am I willing to make personal changes?

If you can answer YES to most of these questions, then read on.

Di Worrall will be your personal executive coach

I will personally coach the small group of people selected to participate in this particular program.

I “discovered” the real potential of 1:1 coaching around 10 years ago when I was a senior executive in a public utility. I was doing very well by most accounts: reporting to the CEO as the Head of HR, meeting my personal objectives and those of the organisation, and growing a long list of achievements. Still I felt something was missing. It wasn’t until I experienced executive coaching for myself that I uncovered what it was that was holding me back.

Di WorrallI came into the coaching experience thinking that I was quite self-aware. And I was in many ways, having been around the human resources and change management fields for many years. However, after meeting with my coach and experiencing a new leadership profiling method called Integrity and Values, I uncovered some interesting surprises. While I thought I was being assertive and self confident on the outside, I learned that in some critical interactions with other executives, I was so concerned about being accepted and fitting in to the norm of what I thought success looked like, that I was not being assertive. Consequently I had shied away from several key opportunities to speak my truth to the best of my ability. Several hard lessons later (one of which cost the organisation nearly $70,000 in dispute resolution and lost productivity); I found the solution was really simple. I needed to stand up and have several conversations I had been avoiding.

With such a powerful lesson in my new toolkit, I was given the opportunity to take my place at the senior executive table with much larger responsibilities leading organisation – wide reform. The impact of this coaching didn’t just stop with me. The coaching experience using Integrity and Values was extended to everyone on the executive team, with its most significant impact on the quality and candour of our conversations. I have no doubt that the subtle shift in our conversation played a major role in moving the projected outcome of just one of our major projects (selling a business unit) from a projected loss before coaching to millions of dollars profit after coaching.

I was so impressed with my own experience of breakthrough results and its impact on my senior colleagues and the organisation, using coaching and the Integrity and Values system, that I decided this process had to be a core part of my practice when I began my own business in consulting for change.

Here are some of the goals that we could accomplish in an executive coaching

Much better capacity to deal with staffing problems

Better capacity to attract and keep quality employees

Eliminating or mitigating areas where you are sabotaging your success

Gaining more clarity around your goals and what you want

Improving your capacity to get your message across where it matters most

Opening your eyes to how other people perceive you and how you can use this to your advantage

Building a much stronger capacity to lead and manage change

Significantly improving your capacity to lead, coach, motivate and retain your team members

Achieving far more productive meetings with less wasted time

Owning up to your highest priorities and organising yourself to achieve them more successfully

Stronger capacity to give (and receive) constructive feedback

Quantifiable increases in your capabilities and business performance

Access to a profound level of awareness about your leadership style, values and behaviour made possible by the Integrity & Values Profiling tool

Unlike other Leadership profiling tools which only measure the behaviour you can see, our tools accurately assess the drivers of leadership behaviour that you can’t see and predict the impact on bottom line profitability

There are literally hundreds of profiling assessments in the marketplace today. Although many of these are powerful and give you useful information, in most cases they are cognitive or behavioural profiles and what they tell you is what you already are aware of or can already see or experience with a particular person.

A much more powerful profiling tool is one that tells you the thinking or feeling behind the behaviour and what is fundamentally driving the behaviour. For example, a person may appear to have a low ability to assert themselves in some situations. The reasons why this is the case might not be immediately obvious, so it becomes difficult to coach this behaviour. However, if you can uncover the non visible or subconscious drivers of the non assertive behaviour, then you can achieve some profound results.

The Integrity & Values profiling tool we use does exactly that. Using quantifiable data, it predicts a person’s behaviour in specific instances based on the drivers of their behaviour at a non visible or subconscious level.

Extensively tested by Dr Elizabeth Allworth, the Integrity and Values tool is fully validated, accredited, standardised, normed and proven by testing to be highly accurate, the Integrity & Values tool uncovers what’s driving a person so you can have a powerful intervention conversation through coaching or training to achieve greater results in areas that will potentially have the greatest impact on results.

“Powerful coaching tool... exact…save you time and money”

“We’ve been using Integrity & Values profile since 1997 for all our executive level recruiting decisions and leadership development programs…

Integrity and Values is incredibly accurate and gives you immediate and clear insights into the person you are dealing with. Unlike other profiling systems, it does not place people in a box, but clearly shows areas of strength and weakness and predicts future behaviours with uncanny accuracy. It is a powerful coaching tool and shows the exact areas to focus on for growth and improvement of both the individual and the team.

If you’re looking for an easy to use and to understand tool that takes ALL the guesswork out of recruiting and leadership development, I cannot recommend Integrity and Values highly enough. Give it a try; it WILL save you time and money.”

Robert Masterton – General Manager Stelform Operations

“$1.1 million to our bottom line…”

“We’ve put $1.1 million to our bottom line in only 8 months. Not only that, but team members are happier than ever… Using the Integrity & Values Profile has made the decisions I make about people easier and as given me a tool that is invaluable”

Greg Gates – National Sales Manager Sanitarium

“takes executive development to a new level...”

“It is my view that the Integrity and Values.com approach takes executive development to a level which would be the envy of the majority of learning providers in the market today”

Robert D Lang – CEO, Sydney Harbour Foreshores Authority
(Former CEO Pacific Power)

Interested in Coaching but reluctant to invest under the current economic conditions?

Guess what everyone else is thinking – the same thing. Do you really want to be part of the herd, going with the flow, just keep up with the Jones? Or do you want to stand apart from the crowd and claim your position at the head of the pack. Now’s the perfect time to do it.

You see, the habit of highly successful people is their capacity to see moments like these as events of unparalleled opportunity. The opportunity to do things that other people aren’t doing, like “future-proofing” their career and investing in their potential.

The best defence against a declining economic market that you CANNOT control is to focus on what you CAN control about your future – your personal and leadership skills and your personal resilience

“Let’s face it. Prior to 2007 we had a run of over five years of tremendously favorable economic times. It did not take a genius to be successful. But to be successful during tough times, you must make emotional connections with your management team. Encourage them to open up and share dialogue. Leverage their leadership ability by advancing their personal agendas. Good leaders are not intimidated by the success of others. They encourage others to succeed and help them fulfill their wants and needs.”

Rick Johnson - Founder of CEO Strategist LLC (Industrial Distribution ezine)

Imagine yourself in this scenario:

You are “future-proofing” your employability against the potentially harsh realities of layoffs during these times. Your peers gamble with their career by doing nothing.

You are taking leaps ahead in your personal growth and development. Your peers are paralysed with inaction through fear.

You are building your personal resilience and confidence to weather the stormy economic conditions by spending your time in positive, business building and life building goals with the support of your executive coach. Your peers go it alone, succumbing to peer pressure, worry and negativity, their confidence falls and self esteem falters.

You are building your leadership and change management skills which then rub off on the resilience, confidence and accountability of those around you. However, the pressures of today’s business climate exacerbate the poor leadership habits of your peers. They continue to do nothing about these oversights, which increases the worry, negativity and tension inside their workforce, loyalty is tested and productivity declines.

Instead of seeing the current economic downturn as an excuse for putting your life on hold, turn it around for the phenomenal opportunity it represents to give yourself and edge and get ahead with executive coaching for a climate of change.
